I was just wondering if anyone uses them and what they think? Do they really do whayt they claim? I have seen numerous masterclasses held by carl and he and his riders are all using them on his top class horses.
Opinions please.

Yes I do, we've just got some into stock, so I thought I'd try a pair out on my mare. Must admit, they've made a big difference to the contact - much more consistent and she's a lot softer in the mouth as a result.

Hi, i've just invested in a pair of these reins, i am extremely impressed by their quality, and service from Carl Hesters website. I'm having a lesson with my trainer today and I am hoping to try the reins. It will take a while to get used to them and for my horse to adjust too. I'm hoping they will stop him taking a hold on the right rein, as much as I try not to take a hold back, I find it difficult to give the rein at the correct split second that he gives with me, so we'll have to see. We cannot compete in the reins so we will have to change back from time to time. I will let you know how we get on. My trainer has never used them, so it will be new to her too.

Just an update from 13.10.09. We had a great lesson with our new reins. I found them really excellent, my trainer didn't object to my using them either, so that was good news. I shall use them all the time now and see how we go. Personally I found the feel of the "give" in the elastic really helpful, it meant my horse couldn't "hang on" to them and I couldn't take a hold back, so good for both of us.
