| calbertino 27/09/2008 12:51 | Are there any differences in the equipment regulations throughout the various levels of competitive dressage? |
| Dressagediva 20/10/2008 22:50 | Most of the regulations are around what types of bits you can use at the different levels. Double bridles are only allowed at elementary and above. Pelhams and wilkies are definately out of bounds. Suprising how many people think that a wilkie bit is allowable for pony club dressage.Quite Ok in the showing world but not dressage at the mo!!! |
| Maggiemay 05/01/2009 17:41 | Can anybody advise me regarding bits? I presently use a Myler dressage legal loose ring french link snaffle which is fine but as he goes so beautifully in a Dutch Gag with the lightest of hands when on a hack wonder if a Hanging Snaffle would give the same effect i.e. pressure on poll? He's a TB so not strong but does naturally love to be on forehand and tends to gradually take reins out of my hands which he seems to love working in longer outline which I do when warming up and cooling down but not good in a test obviously!! I use soft web reins as he does get rub marks on neck with normal rubber reins but more difficult to stop slipping through fingers. Any advice please? |
